Joy is working in Nepal with Kathmandu International Study Centre (KISC)'s teacher training programme (EQUIP), training local teachers in rural, remote areas of Nepal. Joy previously served with BMS in Nepal for seven years, from 1989-1996, and returned as a volunteer in 2015. For the past 19 years Joy has worked as a teacher in Scotland, but returned to Nepal in 2019 to serve long-term. Joy's home church is Dumfries Baptist Church, and she has one daughter, Bethany.
