The BMS World Mission Birthday Scheme is an excellent way for your church family to take part in the life-changing work of BMS World Mission. And they get to do it by simply celebrating their birthday! Each year, the Birthday Scheme raises hundreds of thousands of pounds for BMS ministries, transforming lives across the world – and we’d love for you to be part of it.
How does the Birthday Scheme work?
It’s really very simple…
Anyone of any age can join your church’s Birthday Scheme. On a day when we have so much to celebrate, Birthday Scheme members choose to make a donation to help others in need. Their Birthday Scheme Co-ordinator helps them do this by sending them a birthday card along with a birthday message from BMS. Inside the card is a bulletin sharing some of the projects their money could go towards, and a gift envelope to make their donation.
They then send the gift envelope back to the Co-ordinator, who will send in the gifts to BMS.
BMS provides all the Birthday Scheme materials needed to run a Birthday Scheme including: birthday cards, news bulletins, gift envelopes, posters, Join Now leaflets, a register to note members’ details, videos and PowerPoint to encourage members of your church to join.

How can I set up a Birthday Scheme in my church?
Speak to your church leadership team about starting up a Birthday Scheme in your church and order a Birthday Scheme Information Pack. The Information Pack includes a form to register your church in the Birthday Scheme and, once we receive this, we’ll send a Welcome Pack to the new Birthday Scheme Co-ordinator with all the resources they’ll need.
