Evangelism and Discipleship Leader

BMS World Mission is looking for the right person to be a key member of the team in the Department for World Mission. The successful applicant will be:

  • Passionate to make Jesus known in the world
  • Able to understand issues surrounding Christian mission overseas and the UK
  • A holder of a degree in theology or missiology
  • Equipped with pastoral, management and organisational skills
  • Able to think strategically and to take initiative
  • Able to manage finances and handle related computer software
  • A good team player

The person appointed will have a role with specific responsibility for taking a lead role in the evangelism and discipleship strategy of BMS, with particular refence to disciple-making movements (DMM). The role will involve implementing strategy with partners across the world, supporting and managing personnel, and relating learning and practice in the UK context. She or he will work closely with UK BMS colleagues and report to the Director for Mission. The successful applicant will be a practising Christian and in full support of the BMS mission statement. (By the nature of the job this is regarded as a Specific Occupational Requirement).

Salary range:         £32,950 to £37,040 per annum, normally starting at the lower level

Salary: £32,950 to £37,040 per annum, normally starting at the lower level

PT/FT: This is a full-time role, the working hours are Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm with some flexibility.
