Timings for the day

Arrivals are from 1030 ready for an 1100 start. There is a fixed programme running through the day,  with a combination of presentations, activities and space for you just to explore and ask questions. We’ll aim to get everything wrapped up by 1600.

Bringing along parents and friends

Parents are very welcome to join you for the day – and they’ll have plenty of opportunities to ask any questions they might have. If you have friends that might also be interested in Action Teams, then bring them along too!

We are limited on numbers, and if our Open Day becomes oversubscribed we may have to limit you to just one extra guest. But we’ll confirm that nearer the time.

Please just fill out the form at the top of this page to book your place. There are limited places so get in early!

Do I go to an Open Day, or Encounter or both?

Open Days are information days for people interested in the programme, or thinking about applying. Encounter is a selection event for everyone who has applied. Everyone who comes on the programme has to come to Encounter – it’s where we do the interviews, and other selection tests.

If you’re not sure if you want to apply yet, come to an Open Day first. If you’re confident Action Teams is the right programme for you, you may consider skipping the Open Day and coming straight to Encounter. At Encounter, we’ll still give you lots of information about the programme and the different locations, so you will still be well informed.
