Who does the teaching at IMC?

Mat Wilson joined IMC in January 2007 after six years of service with BMS in Albania, establishing a church plant and building local church leadership. Mat is the Mission Trainer at IMC with a particular teaching responsibility for Christian doctrine; Islam; leadership and development practice. Mat is married to Hannah and they have three children. He is a lifelong Aston Villa supporter and his favourite food is curry, which makes Birmingham a perfect place to live.

Naomi Sharp joined BMS bringing experience from two terms of service in Cambodia with OMF International where, among other things, she taught music and led the OMF language and orientation programme. She co-ordinates all of the mission training programmes at IMC and teaches all sorts of things but her main teaching responsibility at present is for the Missionary Life and Work course. Naomi professes to have no interest in football but Mat and Alan are working on that. 

Arthur Magahy joined IMC in August 2009 having previously served with BMS World Mission in Guinea (training pastors with the L'Eglise Protestante Evangelique de Guinee) and Uganda (teaching at Kampala Evangelical School of Theology). Arthur shares the role of Mission Trainer with Nicky Magahy and teaches Paul, including Romans, Jesus and Ethics, Psalms, and Jonah. Arthur and Nicky have two children (Hannah and Esther). Prior to joining BMS, Arthur served as pastor of Bovingdon Baptist Church. Arthur is proud of his Northern Irish roots, is a keen sports fan, and can still sing his old school song (in Latin).
 

Nicky Magahy joined IMC in August 2009 having previously served with BMS World Mission in Uganda (teaching at Kampala Evangelical School of Theology) and in Guinea, where she juggled home schooling with teaching at L'Institut Biblique de Telekoro. Nicky shares the role of Mission Trainer with Arthur Magahy and teaches Spirituality, Psalms, Understanding Mission, and Islam. Nicky studied theology at London Bible College and was a primary school teacher before joining BMS.  Nicky loves to be surrounded by people, have a busy house but be early to bed!
