"Ignorance or misunderstanding is part of racism but not the explanation.Well informed people - some who have lived alongside people of another racial group for many years - are racist. Education alone will not end racism. Racism is often mixed up with power and control. Something deep inside resents people we see as different having better jobs, more wealth and more power than we have.
