How will I be supported?
Throughout your time with BMS world mission there will be someone to support you. You will not be left on your own.• BMS UK staff will provide overall support• Your overseas host will offer English – speaking support• Your team will be a crucial place to give and receive support• Your church will be praying for you
What does the cost cover?
All BMS teams members will need to be involved in fundraising. If this seems like a daunting task, don’t be put off. We give you some top tips on applying for grants, doing sponsored events and useful web pages for ideas. We have seen God provide in amazing ways.
Costs are worked out so that team members are asked to pay the full amount. Flights, visas, insurance, food and accommodation are all included as well as the cost of training and debriefing. It does not cover personal spending money, vaccinations, minor medical costs, any insurance excess and travel within the UK.
Do I have to be a Baptist?
No. While most team members are from Baptist churches, this is not a requirement. We welcome applications from people of all Christian denominations with a genuine, living and active faith.
