At the Baptist Assembly in Bournemouth in May 2009, BMS World Mission's General Director David Kerrigan challenged pastors in the audience to come forward to the front of the stage if they were prepared to join with us in praying that in the coming 12 months their church would be in a position to send someone into mission, whether with BMS or here in the UK.
There were dozens of pastors who did just that, in a moment which the
Baptist Times described as being potentially ‘pivotal’ for the denomination.
In response to this, we promised you that we’d develop some resources across the year to help you as you pray with us.
The first of these is below – a short video clip, filmed as the Assembly ended, featuring comment from both David and Jonathan Edwards, General Secretary of BUGB. We hope that it encourages you.
