Before joining BMS World Mission Alex worked as a soil and water management consultant with a small company specialising in sports surface management.

 

Jackie is a newly qualified primary school teacher whose dream is to be involved in teaching national children.

 

Alex and Jackie were appointed to BMS in 2009, and then studied at BMS' International Mission Centre.  

 

In August 2010 they moved to Kampala with their daughters Harriet and Bethany. They are working with the Baptist Union of Uganda's national agricultural development programme. They support UCLF on land rights issues especially to support sustainable agricultural development in northern Uganda, and Alex will travel regularly to that area.  Jackie works with the BUU educational department.

 

Their home church is Ampthill Baptist Church in Bedfordshire.
