Transforming lives on four continents

24:7 Justice Partners

Help us bring justice to the oppressed, become a 24:7 Justice Partner

Every day we hear stories from across the world of injustice – of sexual assault, land grabs, oppression, poverty, war, refugees, murder and famine. Yet we know our God is a God of justice.

As it says in Isaiah, “Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?” (58: 6)

Throughout our history, BMS has stood with the oppressed. In the early 1800s, William Carey fought for 25 years to abolish sati (widow burning) in India. William Knibb was pivotal in the fight to end slavery in Jamaica in the 1830s. There are countless examples of our mission workers standing for justice in the face of huge opposition.

And some things never change.

Today we are working to rescue trafficked women, to restore land to conflict-affected families, to help young girls get an education alongside their brothers, to end impunity for perpetrators of rape – to see justice become a reality for some of the world’s poorest people.

And you can help us by becoming a BMS 24:7 Justice Partner.
