By: Dimitry Mustafin and Irene Howat, Christian Focus Publications, £7.99
ISBN: 1-84550-062-8

Dimitry Mustafin, a professor of inorganic chemistry and the head of Gideon International’s Moscow branch, recounts his life in Russia both during and after the Soviet regime. As a chemist in the Red Army, Dimitry became a Christian during an assignment in Italy.

In addition to its biographical elements, the book also pays tribute to the author’s work in Russia’s overcrowded prisons and destitute orphanages. Dimitry’s story is an enlightening look into Christianity during the communist era and, in the end, leaves the reader hopeful of the influence Christians are having across the former USSR.
