Delivered this year by Dr Brian Stanley at the Baptist Assembly in Blackpool
'Renewing a vision for mission among British Baptists' was the subject of the 2011 G R Beasley-Murray Lecture at the Baptist Assembly in Blackpool.
Arising out of conversations between BMS World Mission, the Baptist Union of Great Britain and the Baptist Colleges in 2010, Dr Brian Stanley, Professor of World Christianity at the University of Edinburgh (pictured right), agreed to deliver this year’s lecture.
In reflecting on both the historical expressions of British Baptist mission commitment and its theological underpinnings, Dr Stanley raises significant questions for the coming days.
