BMS has people serving all over the world in many different capacities: church leaders, teachers, doctors, engineers, administrators and countless other roles. All of them have trained at IMC – the International Mission Centre – and have wrestled their way through practical, and relevant courses, aimed to make them more effective in their service for God overseas.
As a building, IMC began life in 1912, when it was known as Carey Hall Missionary Training College for Women. Today, IMC is a modern training centre with excellent conference facilities for groups of up to 70 people, residential accommodation, ability to host events and celebrations as well as contemporary and practical courses about mission.
We’re at the forefront of mission thinking, with input from our own mission trainers, visiting speakers from BMS’ headquarters in Didcot, Oxfordshire, and other leading voices.
At IMC we take seriously our impact upon the environment and we regularly evaluate our environmental performance; IMC is geared towards reducing waste, reusing materials and recycling where possible.
We’re here to be of service to you. We offer our personnel and our building to help you in your daily life to extend the Kingdom of God at home or overseas.
