Health
BMS is committed to send people and resources to help prevent sickness and care for those who are ill or dying.
In Guinea, Chad and Tunisia, BMS has doctors working in areas as diverse as internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, and palliative care. Chad is a new venture for BMS, as experienced personnel Mark and Andrea Hotchkin arrived in the capital N’Djamena in 2010, where they are working on setting up a hospital. They say, they “hope to bring good news to the poor” and share “the experience of life in Jesus”.
In Nepal, BMS has medical personnel working in occupational therapy and training other doctors. In places as far apart as Peru, Thailand, Bangladesh and Afghanistan, BMS personnel and medical teams are seeking to bring health and wholeness to the lives of people, many of whom live in remote, untouched communities.
