Josh and Louise completed language study in Paris at the end of 2009. At present they are training at BMS’ International Mission Centre in Birmingham with a view to moving to Guinea.
Although born in South Africa, Josh spent most of his childhood in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. He trained as a nurse and has spent most of his working life in walk-in centres and emergency departments.
Louise's degree in geography and Spanish led her on to work at a Baptist church in Buenos Aires with Latin Link. She then trained as primary school teacher and, after teaching for a number of years, Louise became a primary languages consultant for the schools' inspection and advisory service in Hampshire. Josh and Louise were married in December 2006.
In Guinea, Josh will work as a nurse and Louise as a teacher (alongside being a mother) in a church plant situation as part of an international team in north west Guinea.
Josh and Louise were married in December 2006. Their home church is Christ Church, Winchester.
They have a son, Benjamin, born June 2009.
The couple have an active life, taking part in many sports, from cycling to sailing. Louise enjoys art; Josh plays the harp.
