After eight years, Steve stepped down from the position of General Director of our partner organisation in December 2009. He now joins Ismay in developing community-based palliative care in Tunisia. Steve previously worked with his late wife, Carolyn, in Congo (Zaire 1979-1993) and Tunisia (2002-2007).
Ismay is a community Macmillan nurse and spent a year in Tunisia in 2005 developing palliative care services in the National Cancer hospital. Following cross-cultural and language studies she returned to Tunisia to continue working in palliative care.
Ismay and Steve were married in 2008 and hope to return to Tunisia in June 2010 following home assignment.
