Graham & Mairi McBain

McBain, Graham & Mairi (Albania)

Mairi is originally from Scotland and Graham from London. They were married in 1996 at Bromley Baptist Church, which is their home church.

They have both worked overseas: Graham was a member of the BMS Zimbabwe Action Team (1993-94) and Mairi served with Operation Mobilisation in South Africa (1992-93).

After Graham completed his training for the Baptist ministry at Spurgeon’s College in 1998, they moved to Dagenham where Graham was the pastor of Oxlow Lane Baptist Church. During this time Mairi was a personnel manager for the local council.

Their daughters Ellie and Gemma were both born in Essex and their son Theo was born in London.

In 2002 they commenced a year’s studies at IMC, Birmingham, before moving to Albania in 2003. After orientation and language training in Vlora, south Albania, they are now in a church planting ministry in Tirana and work with Drita e Botes (Light of the World) Baptist church in an area called Shkoze.

They enjoy cinema, music and entertaining. Graham and Mairi are members of the local gym. The children enjoy outdoor games, going to the beach and making friends. The family love cycling and eating pizza together.
