Jane has lived in or near Leeds for most of her life. She is a member of South Parade Baptist Church, Leeds, and worships at their Adel congregation when visiting home.
Jane is a primary teacher, having trained at North Riding College, Scarborough, qualifying in 1988. She then taught for ten years in the West Yorkshire area.
In 1999 Jane went as a BMS volunteer to Albania where she taught at the International Evangelical School, GDQ School, Tirana for 18 months.
She was appointed by BMS as a long-term mission worker in 2000 and undertook further study at BMS’ International Mission Centre, Birmingham, prior to returning to Albania to teach at GDQ in June 2001.
Jane is now Head of Lower School (Y1 to 6) at GDQ and Home-School Support Ministry Co-ordinator, working closely with the current director, Roger Pearce (BMS) and the Board of Directors.
Jane’s parents are now retired, her brother and sister are both married and she enjoys spending time with her nephews and niece.
Her interests are reading, cross-stitch, painting, walking, watching films, travelling and cooking, especially new recipes and finding alternatives for ingredients that can’t be found in Albania. She is a Star Trek, ER and most things ‘Spooks’ style Fan!
