Cynthia and Ian met in Nepal when they both went to work there with different mission organisations in the early 1990s. Cynthia is originally from the USA. Before returning to Nepal in 2006, they lived in Bristol and are members of Counterslip Baptist Church. Ian has worked in a number of different management roles in the NHS and Cynthia has worked in a nursery school although she was trained as a primary school teacher.
Ian is working as an advisor to Human Development and Community Services (HDCS), one of BMS's partner organisations. Among other projects, HDCS runs three hospitals in remote areas. Cynthia is doing volunteer work in an education centre and helps with the children's programme at their local Nepali church. In November they will begin working with the International Nepal Fellowship (INF).
Justin and Lucy both enjoy being at Kathmandu International Study Centre (KISC) school.
