Info
BMS has been involved in Brazil since 1953 when work was begun in the State of Paraná. Since that time BMS involvement increased as personnel became involved in evangelism, church planting, leadership training, theological teaching, health and social work including pre-school education programmes (PEPEs) among mothers and children and in the favelas (slums), and agricultural work. There are almost one million Baptists in Brazil in nearly 6,000 churches.
