Info
BMS World Mission works with the Bangladesh Baptist Church Sangha (BBCS), which is responsible for work in the local churches and schools, medical and social work, leprosy work and the training of pastors. The hospital at Chandraghona has a long and excellent history; more recently outlying clinics and healthcare have been developed. The School for Blind Girls in Dhaka was the first such school in the country. The College of Christian Theology in Bangladesh (CCTB), which trains pastors and lay workers for many denominations, including BBCS, grew out of work started by BMS personnel and now has its own campus in Savar, a city west of Dhaka. BMS is involved with all this work through the financial support it gives and through the personnel it sends. In recent years BMS volunteer workers and Medical and Action Teams have worked in the country.
