BMS has worked in the D R Congo for over 120 years, supporting schools, hospitals and churches. One of these hospitals is at Bolobo, on the River Congo and surrounded by African jungle. In the recent civil war the hospital was damaged and looted by roaming soldiers, who even took mattresses from the beds.
Jungle Fever is a project for use with children aged six-12 years and consists of a leaders resource book and some downloadable resources from this page.
It is raising funds to help restock Bolobo hospital with medicines and basic equipment, so it can continue to provide medical care for the 6,700 patients it treats every year.
Our PowerPoint presentation will help you explain to your group why you are supporting Jungle Fever. It is suitable for adults and children, and will last between five and ten minutes.
On this site we have also included a few extra pictures you can download and print, should you want to make a display about Congo.
We hope you enjoy fundraising for Jungle Fever and that this leaders resource and extra web resources are useful.
