BMS World Mission

Summer-time teams

Teams to Ecuador, South Africa, India, Brazil, China and Uganda are getting ready to go on mission this summer.  On Saturdays 13 and 20 June, BMS’ International Mission Centre will be holding preparation days as the Lawyers, Summer and Church Teams begin to pray, reflect and organise themselves ahead of travelling overseas.

For one team member, Steve Morris, a member of BMS’ council of reference and a youth pastor from Ilford Baptist, this is a return to Uganda.  Steve was a member of the 2003-04 Uganda Action Team.  This summer he will lead the Uganda Summer Team, serving in the northwest Nile region with the Baptist Union of Uganda.  Steve comments:  “I’m very excited to see how the country has changed since my last visit. Visiting the North of Uganda will be challenging for the team but it will be exciting to see how God leads us during our stay.”

In September, the first Spurgeons-BMS team will be visiting Kolkata.  This is an exciting period for BMS as we seek to work alongside ministerial colleges in providing overseas mission experiences for theological students and ministers-in-training.

Join with us to pray for the teams.
