BMS World Mission

Use your horse riding skills in mission

Hope Home cares for eight disabled children in Chiang Mai, in the north of Thailand. We are looking for someone who could look after their 'Riding for the Disabled' programme. This will provide not only riding for the children in the home but also others from within the surrounding community. Children from a local orphanage and from a large school for disabled children may also benefit from riding lessons.

The role will involve being in charge of the sessions, scheduling volunteers , managing the stables and communicating with other similar riding organisations.

Hope Home

You need to have experience of working with horses and people (especially children). Previous experience of working with disabled children is not essential but would be helpful.

This opportunity is part of our volunteer programme and as such is a self-funded placement. You will need to cover the cost of your flights, insurance, visa and living costs. An approximate budget can be provided on request. Accommodation will be organised by the overseas partner.

If you have the skills and would be interested in fulfilling this need then we would really like to talk with you. You would need to be a committed Christian willing to be involved in the life of Hope Home and able to offer at least 6 months service. Why not call Rachel Whitney on 01235 517647 for an informal chat?
