BMS World Mission has given a relief grant of $25,000 to help in relief efforts among people displaced by fighting in the east of D R Congo.

The money (about £16,000) will be used to provide food, medicine, blankets, shelter and counselling for some of the 250,000 people displaced by the most recent escalation in violence that started in North Kivu province in October.
Baptist World Aid will be working closely with the Union of Baptist churches in Congo-Goma, the Community of Baptist Churches of Eastern Congo and the Association of Evangelical Baptist Churches in Congo, who will be using the money to help those affected by this latest episode in Congo’s decade-long civil war.
