After a call at the Baptist Assembly in 2009 for Baptist ministers to pray for their church members to step forward for overseas mission, BMS has seen increased numbers of people coming forward for service.
Ten people have been selected so far for long-term service and will start their mission training at IMC in Birmingham in September. Six mid-termers will also be starting at IMC in September, and another four in January 2011.
Candidate Board, a major part of the selection process, interviewed five mid-term candidates last week and will see a further four long-term candidates on Thursday 22 July.
Praise God for this answer to prayer and for each person who is taking this step of faith.
