Simon & Solange Wood

Simon grew up in Chester, attending Hoole Baptist Church. After studying at Bradford University he began social work with local authorities, and has worked in most areas of the children and families system over the last ten years.

Solange comes from Tubarao, in the state of Santa Catarina, southern Brazil. She worked with YWAM mission teams in Brazil and at an orphanage in Macao, China, before coming to the UK for further mission-related training.

Since training at IMC, they have completed language training in Massy, France. They travelled to Guinea in September 2008 to work alongside Guinea Evangelical Baptist Church. Simon is working with a small team of Guinean pastors training Guinean missionaries to be church planters.

They have two children, Rafael (born 2003) and Beatrice (born 2008).
