Although BMS no longer supports long-term mission personnel in central America, BMS has a partnership with the Baptist Federation in El Salvador, which has involved the financial support of mission programmes, ministerial training and church planting. When appropriate, assistance is also given for development or emergency relief purposes, such as following the earthquakes and tremors in El Salvador in recent years.
