Asia disasters – BMS responds

BMS has assisted partners already in the country with relief grants to Burma following the effects of Cyclone Nargis and China in the wake of the earthquake in Sichuan province.

The Thai-Burma border

Santisuk is a 16 year-old student who lives in a refugee camp on the Thai-Burma border. He has been offered resettlement in the USA with his father, but the decision he has to make is not a straight-forward one.

PEPE in the jungle

Take a two-hour bus journey into the Ecuadorean jungle, followed by an hour’s walk and you reach the Valle Hermoso community. This is the setting for one of Ecuador’s most recent pre-school education programmes.
