BMS World Mission

Jeff Taylor

Jeff Taylor
Jeff Taylor retired as senior pastor of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Northampton, in April 2008, having served as a Baptist minister since 1974.

Before training for ministry in 1971, Jeff was employed in banking for 12 years.

During his eight years as senior pastor at Mount Pleasant the church has sent out three mission personnel to serve with BMS (one long-term and two mid-term) as well as two Action Teamers, three Church Teams and two volunteers.
Jeff has also been involved in overseas mission trips with BMS himself. He is a former President (2003/04) and a current member of the BMS Selection Board.

Having retired from local church ministry he is returning to the Board of Trustees for a second time, to serve as Chair. He previously served on the Board from 2000 to 2005.

Both Jeff and his wife Pauline originate from north Devon but, following retirement, will continue living in Northampton to be near to their two children and four grandchildren. The only drawback with this, as far as Jeff is concerned, is the fact that there are no decent hills in Northamptonshire as he loves hillwalking. Hopefully retirement will afford more opportunities to visit the Lake District and BMS commitments will still allow time to watch some cricket at the County Ground which is just down the road.
