BMS = Baptist Marriage Service!

We are happy to report that BMS worker Sarah Harris and BMS supported partner worker Eric Bafende have announced their engagement.

This message comes directly from Bulago Island, Uganda, where they have been enjoying a well-deserved retreat away from the medical centre in Macenta, Guinea, where they both work.

The couple were on the Africa retreat with other BMS personnel working on that continent.

Sarah, from Birmingham, is a long-term BMS worker who is a project assistant at the Macenta Medical Centre. Eric, originally from D R Congo, is a member of the Baptist Community of the River Congo (CBFC). He remains a member of the CBFC but is currently working for BMS as a doctor, also at the Macenta Medical Centre.

Eric received a call from God to use his medical skills in a country where Jesus Christ was not readily known. As well as his crucial role as a doctor, he also works with the local church in planning outreach and sports events.

We pray that God would bless Eric and Sarah's engagement, the work they do at the Macenta Medical Centre, and strengthen and protect them and their vision for Guinea.
